1st Holland Scout Group
I was commissioned by my old Scout Group to create a map like poster for their upcoming survival island themed cub camp. I proposed the idea of having a fantasy floating Island, which initially they were unsure of, however they though the idea would appeal more to the young cub scouts and that it gave it a really fun fantasy feeling. I'm quite happy with it overall, and feel it captures the lay of the land very well, without being just a simple boring old map. Together with the group leader, we decided on the overall theming and style as well as specific requested details. I altered the classic fluer de lis as well to fit the theming, and I'm quite happy with the finished piece.
